Can you accommodate big rigs and Class A motorhomes?
A: Absolutely! Our Possum Kingdom Lake RV park is big rig friendly with sites up to 45' in length. We have concrete pads that easily accommodate large Class A motorhomes, fifth wheels, and RVs with double slide-outs. Our pull-through sites make parking especially easy for longer rigs.
Do you have boat slips available for rent?
A: Yes! We offer 36 covered boat slips (10' x 24') with electrical hookups available for nightly, weekly, monthly, or annual lease. Boat slips are located conveniently near RV sites with a launch ramp nearby. Call ahead to reserve as they book quickly during peak season.
Is your RV resort open year-round?
A: Yes, Possum Kingdom Lake RV Park & Resort is open 365 days a year. Texas winters are mild, making our location perfect for snowbirds and winter camping. Spring and fall offer ideal temperatures, while summer provides full lake access for swimming and water sports.
What's included in a full hookup site?
A: Every full hookup site at our Texas RV park includes 30/50 amp electrical service, potable water connection, sewer hookup, concrete parking pad, grassy yard area, daily trash pickup, and free high-speed WiFi. Sites accommodate up to 4 guests and 1 vehicle (additional charges apply for extras)
Are pets allowed at your RV park?
A: Yes! We're a pet-friendly RV resort. We welcome your dogs and cats with some simple rules: pets must be leashed when outside your RV (except in our fenced dog park), you must clean up after your pets, and pets shouldn't be left unattended outside or create excessive noise.
Do you offer monthly rates for extended stays?
A: Yes! We offer discounted monthly rates for guests staying 30 days or longer. Many snowbirds and remote workers choose our Possum Kingdom Lake RV park for extended winter stays. Call us directly to discuss monthly rate options and availability.
How far is your RV park from major cities?
A: We're conveniently located just 90 minutes west of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, making us an easy weekend getaway. Graham, Texas is 18 miles north, Mineral Wells is 28 miles east, and Weatherford is about 45 minutes away.
What activities are available on Possum Kingdom Lake?
A: Possum Kingdom Lake offers world-class fishing (striped bass, catfish, crappie), water sports (skiing, wakeboarding, tubing), kayaking, swimming, boating, and scenic exploration. The lake features 310 miles of shoreline, famous Hell's Gate cliffs, and stunning sunsets.
Is there a dump station if I need to empty tanks mid-stay?
A: All of our RV sites are full hookup, meaning you have sewer connections at your site, no dump station needed! This allows you to stay connected to sewer throughout your visit for maximum convenience.
Do you have WiFi at the RV sites?
A: Yes! We provide free high-speed WiFi throughout the entire park, perfect for streaming, video calls, and remote work. Many guests work remotely from our Possum Kingdom Lake RV resort while enjoying the lake lifestyle.
What's the best time of year to visit Possum Kingdom Lake?
A: Every season offers something special! Spring (March-May) brings wildflowers and perfect temperatures. Summer (June-August) is ideal for swimming and water sports.
